THE GATE OF NFT: NIKPLACE was launched in April 2021 to innovate a new art market using blockchain technology with stability, security, transparency and scalability. NIKPLACE builds its own protocol based on Klaytn, ʻNIK Protocol', and uses the NFT token, NIKX, to NFTize and trade various artworks, starting with the vitalization of the art market. It aims to coexist by creating a NIK ecosystem by supporting prescriptions and medical records as an NFT platform. NIKPLACE (NIK) token is a key payment and reward means in services to be opened in the future, including the NFT platform NIKPLACE.
NIK is used as follows:
- Payment method: NIKPLACE (NIK) tokens can be used as a payment method related to secondary transactions (auction) and non-face-to-face medical care (petdoctor) and NIKPLACE on the NIKPLACE platform.
- Transaction: NIKPLACE (NIK) tokens can be exchanged for external cryptocurrencies or fiat currencies at general exchanges.
- Swap: NIKPLACE (NIK) tokens can be exchanged for external cryptocurrencies on the cryptocurrency swap platform.
- Service use: NIKPLACE (NIK) tokens can be used as a payment method in services that the Nickspace team is affiliated with or launched.
- Staking: NIKPLACE (NIK) tokens can be used to receive interest payments using the cryptocurrency staking service.
- As governance, it can play various roles in the NIK ecosystem.
NIKPLACE aims to create a metaverse-based art ecosystem that overcomes physical limitations beyond a simple trading platform. The NIKSPACE team provides a solution that allows users to enjoy the NFT works acquired through the metaverse platform 'META-NIK' in various ways such as screens and VRs in their own space. Furthermore, by activating secondary creation, such as directly designing and selling metaverse items with purchased works, the content value of works distributed in NIKPLACE will be enhanced, and proactive appreciation and creative culture will be promoted. It will provide opportunities for emerging artists to exhibit their works and generate profits revenue. Furthermore, it will lower the entry barriers to works and the industry for more potential viewers and buyers, and will be an alternative to the cultural infrastructure and disparity problems that are concentrated in major cities like Seoul.
