$SMELT is a token on Fantom, the holder of which are entitled to $OBOL distributions by Based Finance.

$SMELT is part of the dual-token system of the Based Next Gen Protocol. It represents shareholder trust in the protocol. During every epoch the protocol mints $OBOL and distributes it proportionally to all $SMELT holders who have staked their tokens in the Boardroom (Acropolis v2).
