Stream Protocol is a blockchain-based OTT platform built on Ethereum and Klaytn, which distributes profits in real-time. The project aims to solve unclear profit distribution problems and ownership issues in the content industry by introducing blockchain technology. Contents creators can make profits according to the assigned contribution and users can pay the fees as much as they watch the service.
In the Stream Protocol ecosystem, content makers put information about how much they contributed to content production on the blockchain network. After that, the profit gained by the watch time of viewers is distributed according to the recorded contribution rate transparently and impartially. Also, viewers can get a list of recommended content they may like based on their watch histories recorded on the blockchain.
The blockchain-based Stream Protocol ecosystem is implemented by utilizing the $STPL token. Viewers pay for watching content in $STPL tokens, and they also receive compensation in $STPL tokens for viewing advertisements and content. In the case of creators, they receive rewards for content production in $STPL tokens. Through this virtuous cycle, the production and consumption of contents in the Stream Protocol ecosystem will be activated.
$STPL is the native token of Stream Protocol. The $STPL token is used for the following purposes:
- Content Equity Auction Bidding: $STPL holders can participate in content revenue equity NFT auctions registered in the Stream Protocol via STABYGO.
- Staking: 35% $STPL token paid to 10,000 $STPL users as a foundation wallet deposit for each auction participation
- In-Platform Advertising and Content Survey Participation Rewards: Advertising and Content Reviews and $STPL Payments as Evaluation Rewards
