World Cup Willie was an inspirational figure for England during the 1966 World Cup. Willie was the first mascot ever created and went on to pave the way for all future mascots. However, none as legendary as World Cup Willie.
For this reason, we are launching this project, as tribute to the OG mascot in the build up to the 2022 World Cup.
