A number of cryptocurrency industry members including Aave, Centrifuge, Circle, Coinbase, Base and more have joined forces to launch a new advocacy group to promote asset tokenization.

The newly formed group, known as the Tokenized Asset Coalition, seeks to facilitate the representation and circulation of real-world assets on blockchain networks. In pursuit of this goal, the coalition will actively promote the adoption of public blockchains, asset tokenization, and the institutional utilization of DeFi. Its activities will be focused on three key areas: education, advocacy, and adoption.

The coalition said that its efforts aim to bring the “next trillion dollars” of real-world assets onto the blockchain through tokenization. It also suggests that the coalition will grow beyond its initial seven members by attracting future participants.
