Animoca Brands Announces $65 Million Financing Closing

TokenInsight reports that Animoca Brands announced today that it has closed a $65 million round of funding, valuing the company at $2.2 billion. Investors in this round include Liberty City Ventures, Ubisoft Entertainment, Sequoia China, Dragonfly Capital, and individual investor Justin Sun. The funds will reportedly be used to fund Animoca Brands' strategic investments and acquisitions, product development, and licensing rights to popular intellectual property, primarily targeting consumer video game players and the open metaverse.
