Arbitrum Community Proposes to Distribute accumulated revenue from Arbitrum DAO to $ARB token holders

Arbitrum community has proposed distributing a portion of the accumulated revenue from the Arbitrum DAO to $ARB token holders, proportional to the amount of tokens each holder has delegated.

The distribution of revenue can be triggered periodically to ensure timely rewards for the community. The initiative is expected to create a more engaged and committed user base and set Arbitrum apart from other ecosystems with its commitment to creating a more equitable and prosperous network for all.

The proposal is in the early discussion phase, and most of the comments up to now show support to this proposal.

Arbitrum recently announced it will send all surplus revenue generated by transaction fees to DAO. However, the $ARB token is currently a pure governance token with no specified utility such as fee accrual or burning mechanism.
