Azuki Founder Explains Ideas of Elementals Design, Promises Reward System for Collectors

Azuki founder ZAGABOND explained the creation ideas of Elementals, Azuki's new controversial collection, on Twitter, saying that Elementals have "distinctive qualities" comparing with the OG Azuki collection, and he's confident that the new collection "will shine". In addition, ZAGABOND said that Azuki will launch a system that "rewards long term collectors and values input from the community".

Elementals have been heavily criticized by the community since the sale started. One of the complaints is that the collection looks very much like OG Azuki. Speaking of the matter, ZAGABOND said, "the classic Azuki silhouette in Elementals sets the foundation for the Azuki universe (with OG Azuki at the center). The four domains represent the four elements, each with their own distinctive style. With the four domains, each with its distinct personality, we can welcome new members with a 'sorting hat' moment. Azuki is becoming an anime universe that can support all types of creative sub-communities."

"Developing Elemental traits inspired by the original collection was challenging, but it was important for us to pay homage while delivering something new. At first glance, the two collections may look similar. But as we delve deeper into the Elementals collection over time, I have full confidence that its distinctive qualities will shine. Also remember - the art is the wrapper for the token."

"Since the reveal, the artwork of Elementals has resonated with holders, and there are still many more Elementals yet to be revealed. The new Elemental traits bring excitement while still maintaining the classic essence of the original collection."

Lastly, ZAGABOND said, "going forward, the team is committed to creating a system that rewards long term collectors and values input from the community. Azuki's vision is to create a decentralized brand alongside an exclusive club of collectors. A brand which empowers the community to grow together."

According to NFTGo, the floor price of Azuki is 7.18 $ETH now, dropping 56.57% over the last 30 days.
