Speaking of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)'s doubts over the relationship between Binance.US and Ceffu, an institutional crypto custodian rebranded from Binance Custody, CZ said on X, "For the record. Binance US does not use, and have NEVER used Ceffu or Binance Custody. You can't just make this stuff up."
Recently, the SEC asked the US court to approve an inspection into Binance.US. The SEC believed that Ceffu provided custody services to Binance.US and was used to transfer the US customer funds abroad. Ceffu denied the accusation, saying that it's committed to servicing institutional clients with digital asset custody solutions in select jurisdictions, excluding the United States, among others, and its operations and services are distinctly separate from Binance and Binance.US.
