Bitcoin Miner Core Scientific to Shut Down Celsius' 37,000 Crypto Mining Machines

Bitcoin miner Core Scientific will shut down Clesius' over 37,000 crypto mining machines, after the two companies reached an agreement at a hearing on Tuesday, CoinDesk reports.

Core Scientific filed for bankruptcy last month. Celsius Mining was its biggest client. The two companies have been engaged in ongoing litigation over their contract. Core claimed that Celsius was not paying its dues, whereas Celsius argued that Core unilaterally increased its power rate.

Previously, Core Scientific asked for a hearing on January 3rd, saying that the contract made it lose over $28,000 each day. At the hearing, Celsius' attorney agreed that Core Scientific could shut down its mining equipment.
