Bitget Wallet Appoints Ex-BNB Chain Senior Executive Alvin Kan As COO

A series of strategic appointments at Bitget continues as a former executive from BNB Chain joins its Web3 wallet, called Bitget Wallet. Alvin Kan, who previously spearheaded Asian market growth at Sei Labs, Binance Chain, and LinkedIn, is expected to drive the project's global growth and innovation as the Chief Operating Officer.

According to Bitget's onboarding document, Kan will be responsible for implementing Bitget Wallet's global growth plans. His role will specifically encompass managing brand development, operations, and strategic initiatives, with a focus on acquiring new users, expanding the list of supported assets, and integrating innovations.

In 2023, the number of Bitget Wallet users experienced impressive growth, along with spot volumes, which nearly doubled. Under Kan's leadership, Bitget Wallet aims to continue this growth by expanding its presence in local markets.

Leveraging his rich expertise in Web2, Kan is expected to establish crucial partnerships with Web2 companies to enhance Bitget Wallet's global brand recognition and strengthen its adoption of Web3.

"Bitget Wallet has consistently been on what we believe is the right path to shape the future of Web3 Wallets," Kan commented. "Continuous progress is key to ensuring that we continually place ourselves and our users at the forefront of Web3 innovation."

Bitget Wallet, a Web3 trading wallet, has unveiled a plan focusing on product research, development, and increased investments. This initiative aims to provide users with enhanced trading options and an improved overall asset management experience within the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Formerly known as BitKeep, Bitget Wallet stands as Asia's largest all-in-one Web3 trading wallet. With a five-year legacy, the platform boasts over 12 million users worldwide.
