Crypto exchange Bitstamp will discontinue its services in Canada next January, The Block reports.
Bobby Zagotta, Bitstamp's U.S. CEO and Global Chief Commercial Officer, said that Bitstamp will officially discontinue its services to Canadian customers starting January 8, 2024, following initial notification to customers in March. All Canadian accounts will be closed and customers will no longer be able to access their accounts. Zagotta urged customers to withdraw their funds by January of next year.
Zagotta added that the team hopes to be able to serve Canada again at some point in the future.
