BlackRock's Spot Bitcoin ETF Reappeared on DTCC Website

The ticker for BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF has reappeared on the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation's (DTCC) website after a brief disappearance.

Upon its relisting, one Twitter user noticed a change: the previous listing displayed a "Y" in the "create/redeem" column, which has now been altered to "N." Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart explained, "The ‘N’ simply indicates that it's not open for create/redeem because it's not live yet."

A DTCC spokesperson clarified that it is a standard practice to add securities to the NSCC security eligibility file "in preparation for the launch of a new ETF to the market." The spokesperson further emphasized, "Appearing on the list does not imply an outcome for any pending regulatory or other approval processes."

The DTCC spokesman also said the Blackrock ETF has actually been on there since August.
