Blockchain Capital Closes Two New Funds, Totaling $580 Million

Blockchain Capital, a venture capital group, has announced the successful closure of two new funds, amassing a total of $580 million. These funds are designated for investments in diverse sectors including infrastructure, gaming, DeFi (Decentralized Finance), as well as consumer and social technologies.

The first of these funds will function as Blockchain Capital's sixth early-stage fund, while the second will serve as their inaugural "opportunity fund." The latter is intended to facilitate investments in companies that have already secured substantial funding from other sources.

Of the combined $580 million, a reported $380 million will be allocated to the early-stage fund, while the remaining portion will be reserved for the opportunity fund.

As per the press release, Blockchain Capital will maintain its commitment to investing in critical sectors such as infrastructure, DeFi, gaming, and other opportunities within the realms of finance, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies.
