BNB Chain announced the launch of the BNB Chain Hackvolution event. The event will run from July 13th to September 1 and the best 12 projects will be selected, with the winning projects receiving awards including cash prizes, marketing support, participation in the BNB Chain's Gas Grant program, and discounted access to essential tools and services.
At the heart of the BNB Chain Hackvolution is the idea that by utilizing opBNB's high performance and low cost, along with Greenfield’s feature of allowing the creation and management of both data and token assets, developers can build DApps that push the boundaries of what is possible in the Web3.
Through this hackathon initiative, BNB Chain is encouraging and prioritizing the following areas of interest for infrastructure related projects, but not limited to the following:
- opBNB projects using Rust and Erigon.
- Projects focusing on interoperability within BNB Chain, especially tools that focus on BNB Greenfield and opBNB.
- Migration tooling from other Decentralized Storage (e.g., Filecoin, Arweave, Storj).
- Blockchain of Things; projects that are building an IoT historic or archive on BNB Greenfield.
