The Solana algorithm stablecoin project Cashio hacker stated via an on-chain transaction message that it would refund accounts holding CASH, saber CASH/USDC LP and saber CASH/UST LP worth less than $100,000, stating that the purpose was only to take money from those who did not need it, not from those who did. The hacker required the victims to provide their Ethereum address, the address of the Solana wallet holding the LP, the amount to be refunded, an explanation of the source of the funds and the reason for needing the funds, and a uniform record of it in a file. The hackers would choose who would receive the refund, which would be done manually.
Previously, Cashio was hacked and had 2 billion CASH (over $50 million) stolen. The project has since stated that it is unable to pay back depositors and is willing to offer 1 million USDC as a bounty if the hacker returns the funds.
