$USDC issuer Circle announced the launch of Programmable Wallets, a Web3 wallet platform designed for developers to help them integrate personalized wallets to their apps to offer digital asset payments to customers.
Circle said that Programmable Wallets is the first product of its Web3 Services product line, which allows developers to embed crypto wallets in apps, and choose the right security controls based on the use cases. According to the press release, "Programmable Wallets bridge the gap between today's internet and blockchain networks by abstracting complexities such as private key security, blockchain node operations, transaction management, interoperability across blockchains, and many others to enable developers to iterate on applications faster."
The beta version of Programmable Wallets is live on Ethereum, Polygon and Avalanche, and will expand to more blockchains.
