ConsenSys Acquires Ethereum Wallet MyCrypto, Plans to Merge it with MetaMask

TokenInsight news, ConsenSys announced on Feb. 1 that it has acquired MyCrypto, an Ethereum wallet, and plans to merge it with MetaMask. However, Mycrypto and MetaMask will remain independent under the same brand temporarily. Currently, the MetaMask wallet service is only available through mobile apps and web browser extensions, while MyCrypto offers its Ethereum account management solution through a browser and desktop app. The acquisition will eventually bring MetaMask to more platforms to provide integrated services to users.
