Cross-border Payment Platform Parallax Closes $4.5 Million Seed Round Led by Dragonfly Capital

Cross-border payment platform Parallax closed a $4.5 million seed round led by Dragonfly Capital with participation from Circle Ventures, General Catalyst, gumi Cryptos Capital, Palm Drive Capital, Comma Capital, and others. The funds raised will be used to continue to scale the team and the business.

Parallax specializes in providing freelancers, remote workers and other global professionals better payments for their recurring payroll, invoices and salaries. Its initial product allows users who are outside of the U.S. to open a USD virtual account to receive USD with just their passport. The product is capable of supporting users from more than 150 countries.

In addition, Parallax has introduced the ability to convert U.S. dollars into local currencies, starting with a few select countries and rolling out to more currencies soon.
