Crypto Exchange Bitfinex Donates 36 $BTC and 600K $USDT for El Salvador

Crypto exchange Bitfinex announced that it will donate 36 $BTC and 600k $USDT to assist small businesses and communities in El Salvador. The funds will firstly support small businesses in some of the country's most socially-deprived communities. Paolo Ardoino, CTO at Bitfinex, said that, "This funding demonstrates in real time bitcoin’s potential to bring prosperity and economic freedom, By providing bitcoin and Tether to local communities in El Salvador, we will provide vital support to small businesses while also countering the effects of gang violence that has swept across the country."
