Crypto Infrastructure Company Essential Closes $5.15 Million Seed Round Led by Maven11

Essential, an intent-based crypto infrastructure company, closed a $5.15 million seed round led by Maven11 with participation from Robot Ventures, Karatage, Batuhan Dasgin, Skip, James Prestwich, Brandon Curtis, and others, according to The Block.

The core infrastructure Essential is currently building is said to include an intent standard for Ethereum, a domain-specific language (DSL) for intent expression, and a "fully intent-centric blockchain protocol."

Since closing its seed funding round in April, the startup has designed and proposed an ERC to bring composability to intent-centric products on Ethereum and other EVM chains, while making "significant progress" on a DSL that will form the basis of its planned protocol.
