CZ Denies Red Notice Rumors, Blames Competitor for Spreading Latest False Claims

“The latest Fud was only spread by crypto news outlets and KOLs, likely planted/sponsored by another exchange. Very petty. " tweeted Changpeng Zhao. “Hurts the industry and hurts themselves. There are enough external forces attacking us. Our industry needs to unite at this juncture."

Earlier today, in response to rumours on Twitter that "Interpol has issued a Red Notice for Zhao Changpeng", a Binance spokesperson said in an emailed statement that "this rumour is not true". Zhao Changpeng also tweeted a response, saying that the wanted notice circulating online was a PS photo, and advising users to block the FUD source.

As of 3 April, Interpol's website did not list a public red notice against Binance CEO Zhao Changpeng. There is no record of Zhao on Interpol's website, and according to CryptoSlate, no information about Zhao Changpeng or his colleague Samuel Lim was found among the nearly 7,000 red notices publicly listed on Interpol's website.
