Decentralized Identity Platform Nametag Closes $2 Million Seed Round Led by GSRV and OKX Ventures

Decentralized identity platform Nametag closed a $2 million seed round co-led by GSRV and OKX Ventures, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Alchemy Ventures, Continue Capital, Mask Network, and Galxe. The funds raised will be used to empower users to take ownership of their own digital identities and interact in new ways.

Nametag aims to bridge the gap between legacy social media and web3 with a cross-chain, cross-platform service for decentralized usernames and social identity. With Nametag, users can install a Chrome or Brave browser extension to have their web3 username and digital collectibles displayed on sites like Twitter, Discord, and YouTube.
