The team behind DeFiLlama, a popular decentralized finance dashboard, issued an apology on Monday for causing confusion among its users over the weekend. The confusion stemmed from a public dispute between the platform's two pseudonymous co-founders, 0xngmi and 0xLlam4, over a potential token launch.
On Sunday, 0xngmi directed people to a forked version of the platform, llama.fi, warning of a hostile takeover sparked by the potential token launch, which he said did not represent the team's vision. However, on Monday, DeFiLlama issued a statement clarifying that no LLAMA token was currently planned, and any airdrop would be discussed with the community.
The team attributed the confusion to poor communication and a misunderstanding within the team. The DeFiLlama team said it wanted to put the incident behind them and move forward.
