Ethereum Developer Tools Platform Hardhat Becomes Nonprofit with Donations From a16z and Others

TokenInsight news, Nomic Labs, creator of Ethereum developer tools platform Hardhat, announced that it is becoming a nonprofit and will be renamed the Nomic Foundation, with the goal of improving the protocol's developer ecosystem. In addition, the organization has currently raised $15 million in donations, with an ultimate goal of raising $30 million. Donations are reportedly from the Ethereum Foundation, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, as well as Coinbase, a16z, Polygon, Chainlink and others. According to Zeoli, 23,000 GitHub libraries or development projects use Hardhat, including projects such as Uniswap, ENS and AAVE.
