EU Parliament Votes Against PoW Ban

Patrick Hansen, Head of Strategy and Business Development at Unstoppable Finance, tweeted that the PoW ban was not adopted by the EU Parliament's Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON-Ausschuss) with 32 votes against and 24 in favor. This means that the issue of cryptocurrency mining will in all likelihood no longer be addressed within this MICA regulation, but added to the EU sustainable finance taxonomy.
