FC Barcelona Becomes First Club to Be Chiliz Chain 2.0's Node Validator

Chiliz CEO Alexandre Dreyfus announced that LaLiga giant FC Barcelona will become the first club to be a node validator of Chiliz Chain 2.0, which is a Layer1 blockchain created especially for the sports and entertainment industry, with mainnet launch expected in Q4 this year. In addition, FC Barcelona announced the sale of 24.5% of Barça Studios to Orpheus Media for 100 million euros to accelerate the growth of the Club's digital asset, NFT, and Web3 strategy. At the same time, Barça Studios will be renamed Barça Digital and Entertainment.
