Former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison and FTX Co-founder Gary Wang Plead Guilty to Federal Charges

FTX co-founder Gary Wang and former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison both pleaded guilty to federal charges in the Southern District of New York, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams announced. Williams also said that the two are cooperating with prosecutors.

In addition, both the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed civil charges against the two, alleging that they defrauded investors. The two institutions noted that Ellison and Wang have settled, and are cooperating with those investigations.
