Former Spartan Capital general partner Jason Choi and former DeFiance Capital principal Daryl Wang have launched Tangent, a Web3 fund. Tangent is said to accept no outside funding or management fees, and promises to "invest time and money quarterly as an angel investor in select Web3 companies each quarter". The firm will work with 2-5 early-stage crypto projects per quarter, "using a small, undisclosed pool of proprietary capital". Tangent's advisors include Yield Guild Games co-founder Gabby Dixon, SushiSwap co-founder 0xMaki, Frax Protocol founder Sam Kazemian, Alpha Venture DAO co-founder Tasha Punyaneramitdee, and others.
