Harmony's Cross-chain Bridge Hit by ETH Theft Worth Nearly $100 Million

Horizon, an asset cross-chain bridge between Ethereum and Harmony developed by the public chain Harmony, has been attacked, resulting in a loss of approximately $100 million. The Harmony team has been working with national authorities and forensic specialists to identify the culprit and retrieve the stolen funds. In addition, Harmony said its Bitcoin cross-chain bridge was not affected and has now notified exchanges to suspend the Horizon cross-chain bridge.
