Lagarde Says Crypto Is "Worth Nothing" and Should Be Regulated

In a recent interview, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said cryptocurrencies are "based on nothing" and should be regulated, and cautioned people not to use their life savings to speculate. She fears that people "don't understand the risks and will lose everything and will be very disappointed, and that's why I think it should be regulated". In addition, she said, the digital euro would be a safer way to store value.
