LayerZero Confirms Token Launch in First Half of 2024

LayerZero announced on X that it intends to issue tokens in first half of 2024. In the X post, it tweets:“We’ll state now in no uncertain terms that there will be a LayerZero token,” the project said. “Its distribution is something we’re committed to getting right and expect it to happen within the first half of 2024.”

LayerZero is an Omnichain Interoperability Protocol. You could think of that as a blockchain communication tool. It enables dApps to deliver messages across different blockchains. It is an infrastructure for dApps to realize cross-chain communication. The protocol powers the Stargate, which is the 3rd most-used bridge in the past 30 days.

LayerZero has not indicated whether it has already taken an airdrop snapshot.
