LayerZero Labs Closed $135 Million Series A+ Funding Round Led by Sequoia Capital, FTX and a16z

LayerZero Labs, closed a $135 million Series A+ round of funding, bringing its valuation to $1 billion. The round was co-led by FTX Ventures, Sequoia Capital and a16z, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Multicoin Capital, Animoca Brands and others. LayerZero is an interoperability protocol launched by LayerZero Labs. Previously, SushiSwap co-founder 0xMaki has joined the LayerZero team and recently launched the cross-chain DeFi protocol Stargate.
