LayerZero Launches a bridge Connecting Ethereum Mainnet to Testnet, Create a Market for Goerli-ETH

LayerZero created a new solution for those who have had difficulty acquiring Goerli-ETH. The Testnet Bridge promises to solve the challenge of testing systems at scale by providing an open market for immediate pricing of ETH/GOERLI-ETH.

Goerli-ETH is sometimes difficult to obtain, which creates significant obstacles for developers who want to test their systems. The Testnet Bridge offers a way for developers to purchase Goerli-ETH without having to rely on the intractable Goerli faucet, which is slow and cumbersome.

The Testnet Bridge uses an open market to achieve real price discovery and equilibrium. The initial price of Goerli-ETH is set at $0.10, and the pool is seeded with 12,500 Goerli-ETH. The two pools, listed as Goerli: ETH/mETH (“Mainnet ETH”) and Ethereum: ETH/gETH (“Goerli ETH”), are hosted on Uniswap on both Ethereum and Goerli.

The Testnet Bridge makes it easier for Ethereum developers to test and access $ETH on Goerli.

LayerZero is an omnichain interoperability protocol designed for lightweight message passing across chains, it is the protocol behind Stargate.
