Lido V2 Upgrade Expected to Go Live on Ethereum Mainnet in Mid May

Lido released an update regarding its V2 upgrade on Ethereum, saying that Lido V2 will go live on the Goerli testnet next week. After a four-week test, the mainnet upgrade is expected to happen in mid May.

Previously, the Lido community approved the V2 upgrade proposal with a 100% approval rate. The team said that the V2 smart contracts are undergoing seven audits, with two completed and five in progress. As of last Friday, all key findings have been remediated. The updated contracts have been deployed to the Ethereum Zhejiang testnet.

The team plans to launch V2 on the Goerli testnet on March 20th, and the node operators will need three to four weeks to test. Meanwhile, all the audits are expected to be completed at the end of April, and two more weeks will be needed as a safety margin. Considering these factors, the Lido V2 upgrade will likely go live around mid May.
