Layer 2 network Mantle Network has staked 40,000 $ETH with Lido Finance as part of its strategy to bring sustainable rewards from ETH-staking to Mantle Ecosystem.
The wstETH is currently held in Mantle Treasury, awaiting next steps. Mantle also expresses intention to work with other $ETH staking protocols to stake remaining $ETH in its treasury.
Previously, Mantle Network has passed a community proposal to stake up to 200,000 $ETH from the Mantle Treasury. The staking activity is the first action authorized under this proposal.
Mantle Network is an Optimistic Rollup developed by BitDAO.
