Meta Launches Meta Accounts and Meta Horizon Profiles

Meta launched Meta accounts and Meta Horizon profiles, a metaverse identity system that replaces the use of social media accounts to log into Meta VR devices. Currently, users can create Meta accounts using their email addresses, Facebook accounts, or Instagram accounts. It is reported that Meta Horizon profiles will replace Oculus profiles in the future. Users can continue to log into their VR devices with the Oculus account until January 1, 2023.
