MetaMask Advises Users to Update Chrome to Latest Version Immediately

MetaMask tweeted that Chrome has released a high-severity security update, the nature of which it has not disclosed to MetaMask for now. In addition, MetaMask advised users to update Chrome immediately. Previously, Chrome released version 99.0.4844.84 as an urgent update on March 25 to patch an exploited zero-day vulnerability. Tracked as CVE-2022-1096, the zero-day flaw relates to a type confusion vulnerability in the V8 JavaScript engine.
