Metaverse avatar platform Ready Player Me closed a $56 million Series B round led by a16z with participation from Roblox co-founder David Baszucki, Twitch co-founder Justin Kan, King Games co-founder Sebastian Knutsson, and Riccardo Zacconi and others. The platform aims to enable users to establish virtual identities in the metaverse through virtual products such as NFT. More than 1,000 projects are already using its products on the platform. It is reported that Ready Player Me will continue to expand its team.
