Modular Blockchain Network Celestia Initiates Genesis Airdrop of 60M $TIA Tokens

Modular blockchain network Celestia announced the Genesis Drop of its native asset, $TIA, distributing 60 million $TIA, which is 6% of the total supply, to 7,579 developers and 576,653 on-chain addresses. From now until October 17, 2023, 12:00 UTC, eligible developers and accounts can add their addresses to the Celestia genesis block by visiting genesis.celestia.org. Tokens claimed via the Genesis Drop will be accessible directly in-wallet from the first block, which is expected later this year.

The Genesis Drop is divided into three parts. The first 20 million tokens are distributed to 7,579 developers and researchers, the second 20 million tokens are distributed to the top 50% active users of the top 10 Ethereum rollups by TVL, and the third 20 million tokens are distributed to stakers and IBC relayers of Cosmos Hub and Osmosis. The snapshot was taken on January 1, 2023. At the conclusion of the Genesis Drop, unclaimed tokens will be allocated to developers and accounts who have submitted addresses.
