Multichain Says It Can't Contact CEO, to Suspend Cross-chain Service for Some Chains

The troubled cross-chain protocol Multichain released a statement on its current situation, saying that the team is unable to contact its CEO Zhaojun over the past two days, thus can't obtain the necessary server access to maintain the issues caused by the "unforeseeable circumstances".

"This afternoon, there was an issue with the scanning node network of Router5, which has affected the normal cross-chain service of some chains. Furthermore, this problem is beyond the team's current permissions and ability. In order to protect the interests of our users, we have decided to suspend the corresponding cross-chain service for the affected chain on the UI. Last week, the same issue happened on Router2." Multichain said.

In addition, Multichain requested its partners stop directly calling the Multichain protocol smart contracts on/to the affected chain for cross-chain operations. The affected chains include: Kekchain, PublicMint, Dyno Chain, Red Light Chain, Dexit, Ekta, HPB, ONUS, Omax, Findora, Planq.
