NEAR Becomes Compatible with MetaMask

Proximity Labs, the NEAR DeFi-focused research and advisory firm, announced that NEAR has become the first non-EVM chain with MetaMask compatibility. Users can use their MetaMask to access NEAR DApps, without having to create a NEAR wallet. Proximity Labs said that this is an unofficial integration done entirely on the NEAR side via smart contracts using Ethereum accounts. This is an early-stage alpha version, so there're still some technicalities.
