OP Labs Releases Optimism Bedrock Alpha Testnet

OP Labs announced the release of the alpha testnet of Optimism Bedrock on Goerli testnet for developers to test their infrastructure and dApps with the new network. OP Labs said that the Bedrock alpha is not yet production-ready and is expected to be spun down by early October. Previously, Optimism announced in May that it would launch Bedrock, a new generation of decentralized Rollup architecture. It could reduce transaction fees, increase throughput, optimize deposits and withdrawals, and improve node synchronization speed.
