OpenSea Launched Pro version with Zero Fees, Main Platform Fees Back to 2.5%

OpenSea has launched OpenSea Pro, a new platform designed specifically for professional NFT traders. OpenSea Pro is a rebrand of Gem v2, which OpenSea acquired in April 2022. The platform offers advanced features, including zero fees for Pro users, support for 170 marketplaces, advanced floor sweeping capabilities, inventory management, optimization of gas fees for efficient trades, a watchlist feature, and more. OpenSea Pro will also be available on mobile devices.

The competition for market share of NFT trading volume between OpenSea and rival marketplace Blur has been fierce. To court Blur traders, OpenSea dropped its marketplace fees to 0%, but it has now announced that with the launch of OpenSea Pro with zero fees, marketplace fees will return to the main OpenSea platform at 2.5%.
