OpenSea Updates Account Verification and Copymint Prevention Systems

OpenSea announced that it has started updating the account verification and copymint prevention systems to improve the authenticity of the marketplace and reduce imitation and plagiarism. The new account verification will switch to an invite-based system, with accounts with more than 100 $ETH of collection volume to be invited to apply first. In addition, OpenSea will adopt a two-part system to prevent copymint, combining image recognition technology and dedicated human review. Currently, OpenSea has started the process of delisting identified copymint collections.
