Optimism Officially Announces Native Token $OP and Will Conduct Multiple Rounds of Airdrops

Optimism, an Ethereum scaling solution, has officially announced that it will launch native token $OP and its tokenomics. It is reported that the total initial supply of $OP is 4,294,967,296, and the total supply will be increased by 2% per year. 19% of the initial $OP supply is reserved for user airdrop, of which 5% will be allocated in Airdrop #1. 264,000 addresses are eligible for airdrop this time. The average number of airdrops per address is 2,311 $OP, with a snapshot date of March 25 and the remaining 14% to be distributed in future airdrops. Users eligible for this round of airdrops include those who have made a transaction on Optimism before June 23, 2021, those who have used Optimism in more than 4 unique weeks over the past year, those who are actively participated in the DAO governance across Ethereum ecosystem, multi-signature wallet signers who have executed more than 10 transfers, those who have made an on-chain donation on Gitcoin, and Users who have bridged assets from Ethereum to Polygon, Gnosis Chain, Arbitrum, and Solana. Optimism currently only supports users checking the status of airdrops, and the exact airdrop release date will be announced later. In addition, Optimism announced the launch of governance organizations Token House and Citizens' House. Token House will manage Optimism protocol upgrades and project incentives; Citizens' House will manage public product funding, and its members will receive non-transferable NFTs.
