Optimism to Launch New Rollup Architecture Bedrock

Optimism announced that it will launch Bedrock, a new generation of decentralized Rollup architecture. It's been deliberately designed to re-use as much of Ethereum's code, infrastructure, and design patterns as possible. The use of Bedrock is said to significantly reduce transaction fees, significantly increase throughput, optimize deposits and withdrawals, and improve node synchronization speed. In addition, Bedrock is the foundation for Cannon, our state-of-the-art interactive fault proof system. An Alpha version of Cannon will be available for the launch of Bedrock.
