Orange DAO Closes $80 Million in Financing with Algorand and NEAR Involved

Orange DAO, a decentralized venture capital organization founded by Y Combinator alumni, closed an $80 million round of funding, primarily from its strategic investors Algorand and NEAR, with the rest coming from DAO members who are limited partners in the fund, as well as a number of institutional investors. Since January, the group has grown to 1,300 members from 1,000 and backed 90 startups, including Liquifi, Goldfinch, Spritz and others.
