According to PeckShieldAlert, a total of 53 protocols were counted as having suffered 44 hacks and about $760 million in funds stolen in October. This makes it the worst month for crypto hacks in 2022.
Excluding October, hackers stole about $428 million in the third quarter. In addition, March was the second worst month of the year, followed by April in terms of funds lost in hacking attacks. In those two months, the protocol lost a total of $1.18 billion to hacking.
