Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta to Go Live on March 27th

Polygon announced the Beta version of its zkEVM mainnet will go live on March 27th.

Polygon zkEVM aims to provide an Ethereum scaling solution that is EVM-equivalent. According to Polygon, developers can copy-paste code that works on Ethereum and use it to build on Polygon zkEVM without having to change a thing.

Before the mainnet launch, Polygon zkEVM released two testnets, the first of which went live last October. The testnets have over 84,000 wallets, have produced over 300,000 blocks and generated over 75,000 ZK proofs. In addition, there have been over 5,000 smart contracts deployed on the testnets.
